We have just been to visit the lovely St Michael's church in Ilsington on Dartmoor. This has a very nice carved wooden three hares boss.
In the church there is a lovely stained glass window of St Francis of Assisi, done by George B Cooper Abbs in 1955. Around the figure of St Francis are some charmingly painted animals, birds & insects which I just love to look at each time we visit the church
Some are quite unusual
There are several more which I have left for you to find when you visit Ilsington on the Three Hares Trail. The village is very pretty and there is a lovely pub just behind the church!

BEES IN THREES
Not Three Hares, but Three Bees! I painted this oil of Honey Bees to go with a poem I have written about them which voices my worries about their decline.
Who would have thought
There could be no bees?
No wax for the candles
Or honey for tea
No flowers in the meadow
Or fruit on the trees
No waggle or buzz
Bee line or bee's knees
It really would be sad to see
The world without a single bee
