We have just been back to visit St Mary's church at Kelly. This is the furthest west on my Three Hares Trail and is such a pretty and remote place. The church is predominately a soft green colour the granite being tinged with lichen and the graveyard is a delight being full of wildflowers with snowdrops and masses of wild dafodills just ready to burst into flower! Inside the church you will see two Three Hare carvings, one a new copy of the ancient wooden boss which has darkened with age so much you will need a torch to see it properly. There are several good walks going off from there passing Kelly House with its ancient brick grannary.

THREE HARES Kneelers
Apart from having two fine examples of carved Three Hares ceiling bosses in St Michael's Church here in Chagford there are also some lovely hand made tapestry kneelers of the image, here is a photo I took of one of them.
